A manual to mentally prepare people for diving experiences is being released by Scuba Schools International (SSI).
The book, entitled the Science of Diving Student Manual, is not just directed at professionals but at recreational divers as well, so get your flippers and goggles on and dive in to the 280 page resource.
The much-anticipated manual is in full colour and features breath-taking graphics. Not only is it a good read, but it will help keep divers safe too, explaining the effects depth and time under water can have on an individual’s body.
Doug McNeese, SSI President and CEO, said: “We are excited to debut the Science of Diving. It was an ambitious project that became a labour of love. The result is a manual filled with invaluable information for the individual thirsty to learn more about all facets of diving.”
The detailed content will prepare divers for a range of experiences and helps readers to get to grips with the disciplines of the adventure ahead. And as well as explaining the physics behind diving – and the Total Diving System – the manual explains about both types of water and the inhabitants you may meet along the way!
