Avatar Sequel Set to Take us in to Pandora’s Ocean

For those of you that have seen Avatar, you will probably have noticed James Cameron’s love for the underwater world. With the sequel due, Avatar and Scuba fans won’t be disappointed as Cameron has stated recently that a big part of Avatar 2 is set to take place in the teeming oceans of Pandora which will create an amazing new environment for the film.

Oscar-nominated director, James Cameron has said that “ Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment – a different setting within Pandora and I’m going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich, diverse, crazy and imaginative, but it just won’t be a rainforest. I’m not saying we won’t see what we’ve already seen; we’ll see more of that as well”.

AvatarCameron’s enthusiasm in the underwater world has always offered viewers amazing stories, including previous films including ‘Titanic’, ‘Volcanoes of the Deep Sea’ and ‘The Abyss’. With this in mind, we know his perception and visions of Pandora’s underwater scenes and inhabitants will be very interesting. When the sequels released, we know that we’re in for a real treat if this ocean adventure is anything like the highest-grossing film of all time, which is Avatar.

The makers of Avatar 2 are said to be attempting to complete the film in half of the time and at half the cost of the first movie. Cameron doesn’t think this will be likely because of the challenging nature of the shooting and the high expectations from viewers to create the same magic as they did first time round.

Until the sequel’s released you will have to watch and re-watch the original Avatar on DVD and now Blu-Ray as well. If that’s still not enough, Avatar will be back in cinemas in August with an additional 6 minutes of footage.
